1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, purchasing access or using BuildVecta, you agree to these terms and confirm that you are at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. License and account access
Your purchase provides a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use BuildVecta for your own residential construction project. A project may include up to three authorized users subject to the permissions selected by the primary account holder. You are responsible for protecting login credentials and all activity under your account.
3. Not professional advice
BuildVecta is an organizational and planning tool. It is not a general contractor, architect, engineer, attorney, accountant, lender, insurer, building official or code consultant. Estimates, takeoffs, schedules, permit research, bid comparisons, software-generated content and checklists require independent verification by qualified local professionals.
4. Customer responsibilities
- Verify measurements, quantities, prices, codes, permits, inspections, scopes and deadlines.
- Hire properly licensed and insured professionals where required.
- Maintain backups of critical plans, contracts, approvals and financial records.
- Obtain permission before uploading or sharing plans, photos, bids or personal information.
- Use safety practices and comply with applicable laws and contractual obligations.
5. Trial, purchase, subscription and refunds
The current offer includes a 7-day free trial followed by a $97 initial charge and then $7 per month until canceled. A payment method is required when the trial begins, and each customer may use the trial only once. The project owner may cancel future monthly renewals at any time from Billing & Subscription inside the app. Access continues through the period already paid for. Refund eligibility is governed by the posted Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these terms.
6. Intellectual property
BuildVecta’s software, workflows, original templates, interface, copy, graphics, logo and branding are owned by or licensed to BuildVecta and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may not copy, resell, scrape, reverse engineer, publish or create a competing derivative product from protected portions of the service. You retain ownership of materials you upload and grant us the limited permission necessary to store, process and display them for you.
7. Third-party services
The service may connect to email providers, payment services, government portals or automated services. Those services have separate terms and may change or become unavailable. We are not responsible for third-party acts, outages, content or policies.
8. Availability and changes
We may improve, replace, suspend or discontinue features, protect the service against misuse, or update these terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee construction outcomes, permit approval, bid accuracy, code compliance, savings, completion dates or uninterrupted access. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuildVecta will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, construction defects, delays, liens, injuries, data loss, lost profits or costs arising from reliance on the service. Aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the service during the preceding twelve months.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify BuildVecta and its operators against claims arising from your project, uploaded content, contractors, legal violations, unsafe activity or misuse of the service.
11. Governing law and disputes
Washington law governs these terms without regard to conflicts rules. Before filing a claim, both parties agree to attempt good-faith informal resolution for 30 days. Any permitted court action will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Cowlitz County, Washington, unless consumer law requires otherwise.
